Great colleges need great leaders! Having the right board of governors is critical to a successful institution, but it's not always easy to find the right volunteers. The School Governors’ One-Stop Shop is a small charity, funded by a Over the last ten years SGOSS has successfully helped to place over 8,500 volunteers onto governing bodies. Through their unique links with employers from across the private, public and voluntary sectors, SGOSS has been able to recruit volunteers with a range of the transferable skills so necessary for today’s governing bodies.

Recognising common issues, however, SGOSS is in the process of updating its processes to welcome and support registrations from FE colleges with governing body vacancies.
